Looking for best and peaceful atmosphere? Then Mayrig restaurant in Dubai is the right choice for you. I know there are many great American, Chinese, Italian and Indian restaurants in Dubai that has peaceful ambience but Mayrig is something more different. I love their environment and setting with beautiful hanging chandeliers and rose pots on the table. After goggling a lot I came to know that Mayrig restaurant is an Armenian restaurant. Im a food blogger and I keep exploring restaurants in Dubai, but lately I dint find any Armenian restaurant in Dubai.

Mayrig is known as Mother in Armenian, the name really holds to this. The dishes and recipes are more traditional and brought from Armenia to Beirut. Mayrig totally adapts the popular classics of Armenian cuisine while borrowing Lebanese generously and other Mediterranean influences in order to provide their valuable customers a dazzling array of flavors.  After reading their blog I came to know that theu use only spicy ingredients and dewy – fresh harvests from the whole region. They are perfectly handcrafted in a charming environment that evoke the glorious days of Beirut.

Well, speaking about the menu; it’s a collection of exotics. From cold appetizers section I opted for Hommos snoubar it’s a delicious appetizer topped with pine nuts. I also opted for zeitov dolma, it’s a selection of stuffed zucchini, eggplant, red peppers and onion with olive oil. I love stuffed peppers; it tastes better only when something is stuffed in. Their jableh is a must try dish of Mayrig Dubai restaurant, it’s a spicy meat tartare.

From hot appetizers section I opted for potatesov keufteh, it’s a kebeb made from potatoes, stuffed onion , walnut and parsley. i also tried their Armenian salad with fresh veggies and nuts. For main course I opted for derevov sarma  stuffed with vine leaves, lamb chops and served with fresh cucumber and yogurt and tap top, it’s a grilled kebabe with stuffed red peppers and walnut. If you notice keenly, Mayrig restaurant in Dubai serves mostly all dishes with walnuts. Also try their most delicious fishnah kebab with grilled meat and wild sour cherries.
